Review Methodology

Review Methodology

GoForFreeTrial reviews software deals, free trials, pricing pages, product positioning, and small-business use cases with a focus on practical buying decisions. Our goal is to help readers understand what to test before choosing accounting software, bookkeeping tools, ecommerce finance apps, CRM software, hosting plans, and other business tools.

What We Check

  • Affiliate disclosure clarity and whether calls to action are clearly marked.

Testing And Evidence Policy

When we have access to a trial account, we can document screenshots, setup notes, and workflow findings from that trial. When we do not have account access, we do not claim private hands-on testing. In those cases, we review official pricing pages, public product documentation, help-center material, affiliate terms, and page-level evidence available at the time of the update.

This distinction matters because software interfaces, pricing, and trial limitations can change. Pages may include screenshot-style visuals, diagrams, or comparison graphics for explanation, but real product screenshots should come from our own trial access, official media resources, or screenshots supplied by the site owner with permission to publish.

How Ratings And Recommendations Are Formed

Recommendations are based on product fit rather than a single score. We consider setup effort, pricing clarity, feature depth, integrations, reporting, user limits, accountant access, support, and whether the free trial gives enough time to test real work. Affiliate commissions may support the site, but they do not require us to recommend a product as the best choice for every reader.

Update Process

High-value comparison and promo-code pages are reviewed regularly for pricing, offer, screenshot, and internal-link accuracy. Promo-code pages should be rechecked monthly because discount terms, country availability, and expiry dates change often.
